Republicans need to be moderates in favor of small government, and no longer hijacked by religious fundamentalists.

Fundamentalism, of any stripe, is a plague on humanity. That's why Sarah has such a hard time with global warming and fruit fly research (etc) - science is irreconcilable with her "worldview".
