to all christian or what ever you are..i've got a lot of contempt...but its ok because our lord n prophet teach us to be kind with others...you can insult me more and more... but as you are...i will fight for my religion even those who oppose me more than a thousand people...i''ll fight you all till my last breath!! thats my promise to my muslim brothers!!
just watch this fking video and stop arguing about muslims and christains everyone has the right to choose his religion i am muslim but i dont hate christains
@HannaTheMovieFTW In addition, you don't really have room to say "Christians don't know their faith when you're standing up for Islam" because... you don't actually know Islam. You're equally conditioned against it as you apparently believe other cultures are against you?
By the way, it's not execution or conversion. It's conversion, or the government tax that any Islamic citizen pays the governing Islamic organization - to provide and protect the citizen.
@HannaTheMovieFTW And on that note... I know this because I'm a Canadian-born Muslim and I've taken the actual lessons in Arabic. xD Yes, I am a western Muslim, which is why I'm explaining it.
And as for the 'eye for an eye' clause - the actual hadith was along the lines of yes, you are entitled to equal harm, but it is better to forgive the offense and leave judgment to God. Ie: it was acceptable in that time period, but discouraged.
@HannaTheMovieFTW Uhm, what you're reading is probably a hyperculturalized definition. You have to look at the fundamentals of the root. In the era it was written, jihad was a literal translation of 'struggle'. Now, modern people have new perspectives on it and have redefined it as the iconic crusader-type of combat, but if you look at the Arabic root and the time period - and you do have to strip modern cultural references because they make the term subjective - it's 'struggle for good'.
@PROVlCTORlA When you have something like 'jihad' which is to 'defend the faith' + the mentality of "An eye for an eye" + grudges held from all the way back to the freaking crusades...
You tell me what you get? :D
I just Google'd the definition of jihad and it says 'A war or struggle against unbelievers.' I think that this definition is wrong but all round jihad is basically defending the faith weather it be external of internal.
@HannaTheMovieFTW Just so you know, 'jihad' is any sort've struggle. It can be an external conflict, like a justified war, or the inner struggle against evil. (: It is, essentially, the struggle to do good things in any shape or form. In addition, a lot of acts of terrorist from the east are not from essentially Muslim bases, but from organizations trained and established during the Cold War era by first and second world institutions. (:
@emperio2007 That is so wrong. You speak of Muslims as if they're not human, as if they're another species. every human has common sense and a conscience. You only think most Muslim are uncivilized and uneducated because that's how Hollywood movies show them. Little kids running around in the desert in dirty baggy clothes saying "Allah akbar Allah akbar". Muslims are not like that, we have streets, schools ,houses and all the crap. It's not how they show in Iron Man, Transformers, and all those.
@HannaTheMovieFTW First: We're here because we love the movie, not to dis Islam. Second: How can you say that Islam only gives the option of joining or chopping the heads off?! Just in this movie we've watched how Salah el Deen let the people leave Jerusalem without harming them, even after the Crusaders killed all the Muslims before them. And Muslim does not equal Terror. That's just what media wants us to believe. And we all know who all the major media stations are owned by. >.>
