The Greenlining IPO High School Summer Camp is a 10-day program for mature and motivated high school freshmen, sophomores and juniors with an interest in social entrepreneurship and advocacy. The Camp builds on the success of the Investing Pays-Off (IPO) program developed by Merrill Lynch and is a product of the Merrill Lynch - Greenlining Institute California Partnership for Economic Achievement. As part of the IPO curriculum, students learn about important issues facing California and develop a non-profit that addresses these issues through innovative public, private and non-profit partnerships. The Camp attracts students from across the state and offers the opportunity to develop cross-cultural relationships while experiencing college life first-hand. Camp participants are housed at Casa, a student housing facility owned and operated by the Greenlining Institute and located directly across from the University of California at Berkeley campus.

I was fortunate enough to be accepted to partake in this program. It is a truly inspiring experience. Not only did I meet life-long friends, but I also became motivated to make my society a better place. I encourage anybody even slightly interested in this program to check it out and apply.
