  • WOW!!!!! Never seen this before - always thought Kevin did their vocals. Tremendous cover. Thanks for posting.

  • I saw the La De Das live at NSW Uni in 1972, it was a 30 minute lunchtime concert and it cost me just $0.40!

I can only remember 3 members up on stage then: Borich, Key (bass presumably) & Barber.

  • We had some brilliant musicians in Australia at that time. This band was up there with the best in the country. nzoz1971 Thanks for posting. I played the same venue in Sydney as the first version of the band in 1967. Kevin, Peter and I are still in contact.

  • Brilliant guitar work from Kevin.

  • grate take on this song!

  • heard them play in downtown Auckland many times - thanks for posting this

  • The La de Das were simply the best band ever to come out of NZ... period! They were a real working rock band with passion and feel.... unlike some of the over rated commercially driven pop crap that came along later, such as Split Enz , Crowded House. Phil Key could have become anything... He could have been huge! This is such a cruel business.

  • Classic - thanks for posting this.

  • @FELIXMANOR12 I agree ! Hendrix is not the only guy good on wire. Check Buddy Guy . Red House cover , from eitherSweet Tea or Damn right ivé got the blues.

  • Great version. Thank you nzoz1971 for the posting. More power to you.
