People do not have to "like" the police. Their taxes pay for police protection on public property. Police swear an oath to uphold the law and the Constitution. When the police pick and choose who they will or will not uphold the law and the Constitution, then we have a problem. Being a police officer is a job, not some right of passage that puts them above the public they serve. Police are compensated for the risks they face on the job.

I watch Fox, CNN, MSNBC and lots of other news stations and I can honestly say I don't get the same impression that you do. I've never heard anyone on Fox say that Obama is coming for our guns. BTW I live and work in Pittsburgh.
