  • Wasn't it scary flying one of these 2nd line carriers Thailand? Much better flying Thai Airways instead I'd say.

  • I dont agree with your response. Nok Air is a 100 % daughter of Thai, like Silk Air of SQ. We have made many times experience with Nok Air and all of the flights were very professional. Even better than many other airlines when you see the boarding procedures. And if you would like to fly from DMK so you fly with Nok Air or Thai Orient only. What is the better choice? I guess you have never experienced flying in Thailand. Dont talk about something when you never used Nok Air service.

  • I've heard that Phuket airport can be a tricky airport to fly in and out of due to the mountains etc.

But from this and other landings I've seen on youtube, there doesn't seem to be anything difficult about planes landing here??? Apparently, pilots have special training for this airport.

  • Hi Bertyblue, no there arent any higher mountains around, highest point north of the airport and not in line with the runway is about 270m. Phuket is not so difficult to land, sometimes there are some strong sidewinds because the runway lies exactly at the most narrow point of the island. Anyway there were 2 terrible accidents with fatalaties in the last 25 years (1 Thai and 1 Orient Thai).

  • hi, is air flights an airline because I have found they're website and they're really cheap, itf they are an airline, how good are they?

  • just get back from another nok air flight! yes they are worth to fly. nok air is one of the 2 airlines serving the old don muang airport in bangkok which is more convenient to reach from the citiy than the new one. when ever i fly domestic to and from bangkok i fly nok air. they are a daughter company of thai airways international. hope that helps. by the way the flight attendants wear a nice yellow nok (means bird in thai) uniform and are very pretty!!!

  • @zurbscu First, thanks for letting me know Nok Air means Thai Airways. In that case, its fine. BUT...I don't need actually flying to know 2nd line Thai carriers ain't safe AT ALL. There's a this thing called TV you know. And there's this channel called CNN on it. When the likes of Angel Air, Orient Thai, Air Siam (from 3 decades ago) ran into all sorta troubles and embarrasements, the TV thing somehow let me know!

  • ooooooh yeeeea , ariving for the tiny bubbles

  • Just love this view before landing from NOK AIR!
