@EavesDripper Hehe, maybe the same song just pops out of me gc8 as well :)

Amazing sounding guitar, but the 3rd string, 2nd fret is really annoying me lol

Hi! I just got a GC8 a couple weeks ago, but I think it really feels "dead" as you get around the 5th fret and up. Yours sounds really clear and crisp though. What sort of strings are you using on yours? I almost feel like switching to a larger GA or GS, but the guitar is so beautiful I'm reluctant to do so, haha.

@RuecianG The year the GC8 was made matters. I think it was after 2007 that Taylor changed some things and made it better. I use Elixir strings--phosphor bronze

I love it! Did you write this?
ippusor 3 weeks ago
@ippusor Yes, I did write it. The song just kinda fell out of that guitar naturally when I first got it.

Thanks for the kind words, MR. I actually recorded this tune first on a Martin D28, but it sounded too boomy. The smaller bodied shorter scale guitars seem better for fingerpicking, and more balanced, and this GC8 still has a big sound.

I love the tune and great job playing it. Is it capo'd on the 2nd fret? What is it called and is there a tab I look up?

@harshm17 Thank you! The song is an original called "Grateful." No tabs available yet that I know of.
