Conscious #QuickFact I spent some of my younger years in Harlem. Yes I lived there.

Rites of passage, walk about
Stick up kids don't talkin it out
she picks up bricks and sorts'em out
actually they wooden blocks (yeah)

nor does she know where her daddy's blow is hidden
it's in the stove, they don't use the kitchen
so it should never ever ever come up missin
missin children, Amber alert
long before planes weren't missin buildins
yet, still connected
butterfly affected, dragonflies disappeared
I remember countin colors on sidewalks, during those years
Harlem resident, wasn't raised in the streets
still surrounded by the beast
think about statistics that I beat
friends and fam who defeat
then the ones that overcame the addiction
I maintain a subscription to the street tales
discussion of the retail value of the dope
that I speak every other day of the week
