Ripped straight from the headlines! On December 4, 1972, seven-year-old Steven Stayner got into a car with a stranger who convinced the boy that he was his new dad. Steven was mentally and physically abused in the most horrifying ways. Seven long years later, Steven miraculously finds his way home. But his nightmare isn't over yet — not until his captor is brought to justice.

  • victor is supposed to be his long lost best friend. Now, victor's bullying steven about being raped when he was kidnapped. If u ask me, that is beyond fucked up!!!!!!!!!

  • they talked steven into testifying + parnell got off anyway....thats SO NOT fair!!!!! I say he shouldve gotten life + raped by in prison or death row. i'd prefer parnell to be in prison forever + raped every single day + night!! after all, there are punishments so much worse than death!!!!!!!!!

  • I read some of the comments on this movie, a lot of them are about Stevens brother being a cerial killer and all. Maybe he became a cerial killer because all the messed up shit that happened to his little brother. Just a thought. (excuse my punctuation, not all the keys work.)

  • oh my god . you better straight guy . dude . god bless you

  • Cary seems like sucha nice guy. how did he become a serial killer....

  • Just found out that steven's brother Cary is a serial killer.

  • @Misha1316 when they were in the boys locker room, burtch started in on steven. if victor was a real friend, he wouldve taken up for steven like cary + jody did. he also did it when they were dving down the road

  • @irishbutterflygirl23 Which part was it that Victor was bullying him?

  • @LisaKee73 Exactly. It's called "drug-seeking behavior". It's a very prevalent symptom of sexual abuse PTSD. For some it's also a form of slow suicide (self-harm), and/or a cry for help.

  • @shannonm75 Yeah, well, look at the way our society turns a blind eye to male-on-male prisoner rape, and laughs about it. They think as long as some of the victims are sex offenders, hey, it's alright. I mean, they're all criminals anyway, right? Nevermind some of them are actually childhood sexual abuse victims who turned to drugs to numb out the pain, then got arrested for a drug offense, and happen to be young and weak. Especially in black culture all male rape victims are seen as "willing".
