It's from a old Chinese war movie. By old, I mean REALLY old. Like pre-cultual revolution old.
-
is that from a movie?

No talking ruins the whole film, so in the interest of the greater good, the narration will prevail. =P

Its technically the War in Asia/Pacific because there was the Chinese/Burma/India Theater, and the Pacific War going on at the same time. the chinese suffered greatly before the war technically started. nanking was in 1937, and there was fighting between the chinese and the japanese in the early thirties. so technically it was 1931-1945.

I thought about using "Asia Pacific War". I even put that on the script originally, but since "Pacific War" is the "more" accepted term, and since most of the *fighting* took place 1937 - 1945 I chose that as the date. But do note that I began the story from 1868. Also there was something of a peace after Japan took Manchuria in 1931. Real war only actually started 6 years later.
