    Geraldine could really be 'cute'. I was a teen when this show premiered but I must admit that it never occurred to us to think cross-dressing anything other than just plain hilarious comedy! He was married; and we knew his name already - he would come to our theater for which my older sister took me to see him. Genius, funny and clean! The old tv pioneers cross-dressed all the time and it was hilarious and never made us think the way folks would today. This makes me happy to see.

    This is strange. When I was a kid I thought it was weird that Flip Wilson dressed as a woman. But now that I'm grown I sort of find him pretty.
