Russel crowe looks like a sissy kid in front of Gene Hackman. We never give credit to the villain but it's actually the great performance of a villain which makes a movie worth watching.

Not bad for todays movies. However, 20-30 years ago the thought of a female gunfighter would have been immediately dismissed and laughed off by ANY movie producer. Shows how times have changed. I could never consider this a true western, but it is certainly entertaining and the directing / acting is good. Crowe is excellent here and many of the scenes are well done. All in all, not bad. Better than 99% of the crap they call "movies" today.
