-wikipedia.

  • Hello TikiFury,

Could you inform me who is the pianist. I don't think it's Thomas Rajna. Could it be Alicia de Larrocha?

  • @pghagen I also thought that this was Alicia de Larrocha, but I've had many people who told me that this is not her, in fact. Besides, there is a user, newFranzFerencLiszt who has uploaded a whole series of granados works played by Tomas Rajna and in this list is the Estudio. I would say it is him, but I will try to find out if its really him. In the mean time, you may want to ask newFranzFerencLiszt about it, he may know more.

    Keep watching!

  • @pghagen really? double check. I find them identical, even the time 3:07, the piano tune etc.

  • @TikiFury Yes, I listened another time and you are right. It is the same artist, viz. Thomas Rajna. I listened to al the other works of Granados which were uploaded bij newfranzferencliszt. Some of them are really good, but what he does with the Allegro de Concierto I really do not understand. It sounds he has difficulties with the piece, but i don't think that's the case. It must be a totally different way of interpretation from Alicia.

  • @pghagen very true, i prefer De Larrocha's version. I was planning to upload it, but there are already many videos of the recording I have so, its not worth doing it.
