@Lilkiwiguy87 Thanks, because I was wondering how wildlife photographers would change their settings to the right exposure fast enough in manual mode (taking pictures of flying birds for example).

Doesn't manual mode take up some time to adjust (shutter speed, depth of field)?

If you're shooting in a situation where the lighting doesn't change then no need, just shoot using the same exposure settings until the lighting changes (i.e. from sunlight outdoors to indoors). It won't take time if you memorize what kind of exposure is more suitable for specific lighting (sunlight is 1/250s at F/8, ISO 200, etc.). This is how photography originally started: no lazy man auto mode.

Photography began with manual mode, so, that's the ultimate way to go, not the other ways around.
