@jawaid62 If I may add my friend. He was the greatest Indian ever to set foot on this earth.He has given to us more than any other great indians have. He remains a model of a great singer and a finest human being. I do not see him either in a religious context or as an indian, I see him as an international icon. Let us remember that Rafi is not liked only by Indians and Pakistanis, he is loved by music lovers from all around the globe. Its upsetting to see people fighting to own him.

@RAME5H97 I agree with you, when Rafi sahab was born, there was no existence of Pakistan, no body in the world knew Pakistan at that time, Rafi Sahab was 100% Indian.

I dont know which country you represent. Late Mohd Rafi was born in Pakistan and moved to India. He lived like a king. He is liked by whole of India as Mohd Rafi and not as a muslim. Please do not bring religion into this.
Can you enlighten me and rest of the readers what Pakistan has bestowed on Mohd Rafi for being born there? Atleast In India he sang until his last breath whatever he wnated to sing whether it was azaan or a bhajan and everybody loved him for what he was.
