However, the US started the war when it sent troops down to the rio grande, which Mexico claimed was already in their territory so Mexican troops fired to protect their land claim. History class was a bit biased for you wasn't it? Besides it was the Native American's land first.

@vtc193 pay? The US stole the majority of the land that Mexico should have had after the Mexican-American war, which America provoked, then bought a much smaller portion known as the Gadsen Purchase later on. Colonies? what are you talking about? Learn your history.
