The Blocking Bronco, he was no plowhorse. He was and is a victor in Christ. He led mighty Denver stars through service. Thank you, Howard, for helping to lead me through the storms of life.
Wow this dude asked if Howard Griffith played in the pro's....can tell u didn't grow up watching football...Fullback for 2 time Superbowl Champion broncos and leading blocker for Terrell Davis. played 11 seasons in the NFL...Not sure if he made the probowl but was recognized as one of the elite lead blockers in the game..
I will never forget that game in the rain @ Nebraska or the 10-9 National Championship game vs. N.D. and Rocket. Eric and the Buffaloes were the reason I started to watch college ball.
He was not even close to player he was while in the NFL. He is still my favorite college back!
yep, drafted by the colts in '91 but never played a game. then he suited up with the l.a. rams and carolina panthers, spending 2 years with each team. then in '97 he went to denver, and blocked for terrell davis....
Dang Eric Bieniemy is the greatest, and he proves it in this game in which he overcame 5 fumbles to win the game against a highly ranked Nebraska Team. He is the best, and now he is coaching for the Vikings, coaching another great college running back, Adrian Peterson!
i was at that Illini - SIU game. it was crazy from start to finish. i think it ended 56-21. this linebacker from SIU ripped the ball out of Griffith's hands on one play and ran it back 50yds for a TD. go illini!
