Pumpkin Carving. Nemi. One-Shot.

Just a reallllllyyyyyyyyy shhhhhhort Nemi drabble, I hope you like it. Nothing special. If you celebrate Halloween or not, its always fun to carve pumpkins. I know its not till Monday, so dont call me stupid. But, Happy Halloween! :)

"No way, you've never ever carved a pumpkin? Ever?"

Nick stared at Demi, eyes wide. There was no way she could live this long without carving a pumpkin. He watched his girlfriend shake her head, her long curls bouncing side to side. She had been helping put up house decorations at Nick's when the question popped up. Her beanie was almost off her head, and her gloves had slipped off in the middle o fputting up lights. Nick shook his head, in disbelief as he picked up two pumpkins from his porch. She laughed, looking up at him with her big brown eyes. "Babe, what are you doing?"

"We're carving pumpkins." Nick nodded, walking towards a pile of colorful leaves in his yard. Demi watched him run inside and come back with knives, towels, and spoons. She shuddered at the thought of the mess they were about to make. "Nick, I'm not sure I wanna do thi--"

"You are going to carve a pumpkin, sweethead, and whatever you say, I know you'll love it." Nick tugged the short girl's hand and pulled her into the leaves. She squealed, but fell into his arms comfortably. "Okay, first the guts." Nick made a disgusted face that made Demi giggle. Maybe this wasn't so bad..

And she was right. Nick watched Demi as her knife jabbed into the pumpkin. Her facial expression was the best - her tongue poking out the side of her mouth, eyebrows furried in concentration, her eyes narrowed as she traced the pumpkin pattern. She didn't do anything complex, just a normal jackalantern face. Nick laughed and watched Demi's hands move slowly, holding the pumpkin down in one, working her way through the tracing of the face in the other. "You are so cute," he chuckled. Demi's hands were still covered in orange seeds and strings, but she didn't want to waste time cleaning them. She looked like a child in a candy store, excited and thrilled to do something for the first time. She shook her head and scoffed, turning her attention back to her pumpkin.

"Ta da!" she said, twisting the orange vegatable around towards her boyfriend. It was simple. A nose. Two eyes. A big grin. Nick grinned at this, how Demi worked so hard on something so easy. But it was perfect, so perfect in his view. He flickered his view to her anticipating face. "Do you like it?" she asked, hopeful. Her hands were pressed together and her lips were turned into a broad, proud smile. "I love it." Nick replies, wrapping his arms around her waist and dropping a quick peck on her forehead. "Its perfect, baby. Just like you,"
