Barbara Lee is a rarity in this country. A real American patriot who wasn't afraid to vote against the unPatriot act.

I searched Barbara Lee after Dr. Ron Paul mentioned how they disagree with economic policies, but he has talked with Miss Lee on the war issue that they agree on. Dr. Paul is my hero and I give Barbara Lee much respect on her anti war stance. My one question is in the video it states that congress vote like 450 to 1 implying that she is the one no vote. I was just wondering the validity of this because Ron Paul is the most anti war congressman and I would doubt very much that he voted Yes.

I'm watching M S N B C interview Barbara this AM & she's giving the same Dem female answers to every damn question asked of her. I voted for Obama but he's turning out no better than Bush IMHO.Talking head is asking Lee about about Obamas 57% negative rating & Lee is all positive with the same boring pat answers they all give.Funny she doesn't say anything negative re: 700 mill$ spent on Libya? Isn't Libya a 'WAR MADE EASY'? That's why O lost my vote. I was against IRAQ too. Afghanistan? Maybe

@aclark410 People also put way too much trust in the private sector. On 9/11, gold skyrocketed!! Everyone was buying gold!! It's a hedge to make money out of a disaster. Happy tears must've been coming out of Lockheed Martin's CEO eyes too.

Sure, government isn't perfect. No one is perfect. The answer is not to take away government's powers (they're run by a few corporations anyway). The answer is to put good governance into place. And we can do that by voting for more anti-war "Barbara Lees".

It's important that people take a step back as Lee instructed in her speech. Thanks to the Shock Doctrine, it's easy for government to pass through concepts that would typically never pass. But because people put so much trust in the government after traumatizing events, no one questions its actions. This is the fault of Lee's colleagues, the media and its consumers. Everyone needs to be more aware of how dangerous it is to simply let the government have free reign after a shocking event.
