In this classic Nickelodeon commercial, a gymnast makes a landing, leaving an orange footprint-shaped Nickelodeon logo on the mat. A copy of this commercial is said to reside in the Nickelodeon Time Capsule, recently moved to the new home of Nickelodeon Studios, and set to be opened in 2042.

  • Agreed. Yes, the quality of Nick has slowly degraded over time. They need to bring back the old shows that used to be on Nick. I remember this commercial used to air on Nick all the time. Either have them run early in the morning, late at night, or make a special channel for them. I would GLADLY pay the extra money for that channel.

  • I too miss the old Nick. I also miss the old Fox Kids Club. They had a few good shows. Mighty Max, Stone Protectors,James Bond Jr.,Lamb Chop. Hey at least Amazon has Doug and Hey Arnold on dvd. oh yeah one more thing, I am tired of these little kids on here trying to pass themselves off as 90's kids when they were born in the 90's. last time I checked you had to grow up through the 90's to be a 90's kid not be born in the 90s

  • We don't need a time capsule to see these videos...we have YouTube.

  • those bars are really squeaky...

  • So THAT'S the reason good Nickelodeon is gone? It's all because they put it in a time capsule?!

  • kinda looks like a dude.

  • @12skolvikings yea u r. in my opinion anyone born after 1996 is not a 90's kid. because if u were born in 1995 u would be mostly considered a 90's baby since they would b 5 when the 90's ended. u were 8 when the 90's ended so u were old enough to remember most of the 90's.

  • @healybug1959 That's really cool! This commercial, along with a whole bunch of other shorts from Nickelodeon were featured on a DVD of Clarissa Explains It All. The section on the DVD that had the commercials on it was labeled "Nick Time Capsule". It was to show what Nickelodeon looked back back in the day. :)

  • I was born in january 1992 so am I considerd a 90's kid I always have thought myself that way

  • @healybug1959 I think that is just a name of the playlist. But I could be wrong.

  • You can say what you want, but I was born in 1997, and will not consider myself a 90's kid or 00's kid, you can just put me in a different category, time has not been good to nickelodeon, but i plan on going to the unveiling of the time capsule in 31 years. I'll be 44 years old.

  • I understand and actually agree that nick isn't what it used to be. But would it matter anyway, most of us are in our late 20s/early 30s now.

although, I do admit that I would watch salute your shorts still
