In The Air Tonight

This "In The Air Tonight" video, as I have added scripture, is NOT talking about lost people calling on the Lord (though I did decide to include that), as any of them can call on the name of the Lord and be saved: Romans 10:13 for "WHOEVER WILL CALL ON THE NAME OF THE LORD WILL BE SAVED."

This video, as I have added scripture, is talking about people who said "No" to God's forgiveness and grace (through Christ) and how it's over for them.

There is also an evil day that is a test for believers (Ephesians 6:11-17) so don't get these two realities confused. If you find yourself in a scary place but you believe in Jesus, then stand firm in your faith and repent of your sins (we all have sins) and if you have not yet believed, repent and believe, because if you don't, you're doomed.

Jeremiah 11:14 ...for I will not listen when they call to Me...
Revelation 9:21 and they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts.
Job 28:24 For He looks to the ends of the earth And sees everything under the heavens.
Psalm 63:11 ...For the mouths of those who speak lies will be stopped.
Psalm 18:37 I pursued my enemies and overtook them, And I did not turn back until they were consumed.
Psalm 58:10 The righteous will rejoice when he sees the vengeance; He will wash his feet in the blood of the wicked.
Jeremiah 14:10 ...He will remember their iniquity and call their sins to account.
Hosea 7:2 And they do not consider in their hearts That I remember all their wickedness Now their deeds are all around them; They are before My face.
Isaiah 29:15 Woe to those who deeply hide their plans from the LORD, And whose deeds are done in a dark place, And they say, "Who sees us?" or "Who knows us?"
Ezekiel 7:5 Thus says the Lord GOD, 'A disaster, unique disaster, behold it is coming!
Ezekiel 7:9 'My eye will show no pity nor will I spare. I will repay you according to your ways, while your abominations are in your midst; then you will know that I, the LORD, do the smiting.
Exodus 12:23 For the LORD will pass through to smite the Egyptians...
If you are saved and feel convicted. Repent.
If you are lost, repent and believe in the Lord Jesus and be saved.
Luke 13:3 I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
Ezekiel 7:10 'Behold, the day! Behold, it is coming! Your doom has gone forth; the rod has budded, arrogance has blossomed.
Mark 1:15 ...The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel.
For the appointed time of those who would not repent and believe in Jesus Christ the Lord and for those already dead in Sheol...
Ezekiel 7:6 An end is coming; the end has come! It has awakened against you; behold, it has come!

This video is dedicated to my beautiful, loving, dog (way nicer than any person I have ever met) who was murdered. May the Lord repay the murderers according to their deeds. Amen!

Note: How to rectify these:

Proverbs 17:5 ...He who rejoices at calamity will not go unpunished.

and

Psalm 58:10 The righteous will rejoice when he sees the vengeance;
He will wash his feet in the blood of the wicked

It's simple. One calamity is pruning for the person or people and one is judgment. One is reprimanding and one is for destruction. One is for the saved and one is for the damned.

You do not rejoice over someones hardship or calamity. You do rejoice over the recompense of the wicked.

Note: At the end of the video when I say, "For the appointed time of those who would not repent and believe in Jesus Christ the Lord..." I am speaking of people losing their souls, and then they go down to Sheol (that's what happens).

And, when I say, "and for those already dead in Sheol..." I am speaking of their physical death. They are already dead spiritually.

Lastly, when God says in Ezekiel 7:6, "An end is coming; the end has come! It has awakened against you; behold, it has come. " He is speaking, obviously (maybe not obvious to most people though), in a future tense (An end is coming) and also in a present tense (it has come). So, what that is saying is, people's ends will come because of rejecting God. This is a warning and it is for some people the end right then: "behold, it has come!"

There is nothing new under the sun here. This has been happening for as long as people have been rejecting God. This is an end times video only in the sense that every day is an end for someone, like this.

  • Are you Phil or are you a god? No, just predictable. How can people like you be so arrogant as to even suggest (out load I might add), that you are in communication with her divine holiness, or know what Phil was thinking when he wrote this song. Truth is, Phil did write it out of anger about his divorce. His wife, breaking with Tradition broke rule # 7 and ran off with a decorator. The bible is a book of regurgitated metaphors, written by men. Say hi to Her for me next time you are chatting.

  • @muzishunman

Here is what I do. I hear words and many in songs (as God leads me) and I then see a Biblical application that fits with the entire song. I am in communicaton with God, or He with me. Amos 3:7 "Surely the Lord GOD does nothing Unless He reveals His secret counsel To His servants the prophets." But you knew that because I am predictable, right? It's not about Phil's divorce per se (it's bigger than that, if that's even part of it). Obeying God is not Tradition (Rule 7).

  • @muzishunman

Obeying man is tradition. The Bible: God used men to write His words. And , "Hi sweetheart!" (Krystal).

  • It is about judgement being passed on a rapist and serving up some justice on him. It has nothing to do with the bible, or god, or what you believe. You are sounding like you are a bit of a crackpot. Incidentally there is only one person who knows what the song was written about and that is Phil. There is no god. It is only your belief that makes it real. There is Good and there is Evil. Maybe its a priest who diddles kids that is being judged. Just move him to another parish-that will teach em.

  • @muzishunman

Everything has to do with the Bible and God and He is real. I am sure Phil knows better than anyone but I think I am as close as anyone ever to what he means other than him. It can be and is about rapists. It can be and is about thiefs. It can be and is about murderers... etc.

  • Its about him catching his wife cheating on him.

  • @spunkzehh

Beyond that I see all the truths in the song that I have scripture for. It is a song that is Biblically correct, if people see it or not. The bottom line: Repent and believe in Jesus or pay for your sins forever.

  • I love this song

  • @spunkzehh

I believe that is either the cover story or that is what was the imputus for the lyrics. If you notice, it is written in a bold brush stroke so many people can attach many meanings to it, as good songs should be written if that is your objective. "I've seen your face before my friend but I don't know if you know who I am?" does not sound to me like he is speaking of someone he caught his wife with because everyone knew Phil Collins and surely so did that guy. It does not fit to me.

  • @CarlisleMusic

Yes. People do get different meanings from songs and this is what I got. Just as you have a right and a privilege to get what you do from music, and share that. I have a right and privilege to get what I get from music and share it. Also, being called by God to share His Truth I have a responsibility to let what He tells me be known. Matthew 10:27 What I tell you in the darkness, speak in the light; and what you hear whispered in your ear, proclaim upon the housetops. Thanks!
