Shooting at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA

I was taking packages out to the car when I heard a bunch of shots. I wasn't sure they were real or not. Then a heard another set of shots and then another. I couldn't see who was shooting, but I started to take video in the direction the shots came from while standing behind the car you see in the foreground. My video catches the last two clips he shot and I could finally see him when he shot off the last clip. You can barely make the shooter out. He is just beneath the little redish triangle immediately left of the two palm trees in the center of the picture.
Before I left, I saw the him on the ground and surrounded by police, but my daughter was very upset so I left to pick them up and get out of the area.
My wife and daughter were at an ice cream shop in the mall when the shooting happened. They ended up running and screaming with everyone toward the opposite side of the mall.

Your wife and kids are in the mall while the shooting occurred. And yet you chided to stay there and record the video. Wouldn't your first reaction is to go look for your family?

They called me a minute after the shooting and everything was normal for them. Five minutes later they called again and had run to the other side of the mall, but I knew the whole thing was over because I could see the guy was in custody.

Ah, the good ol' "Rambo" defense... If only some brave soul had a CWP he (or she I suppose) could have stopped the whole thing. That is of course if he could hit the target. Oh and if there hadn't been another CWP person about who thought that the original CWP'er wasn't attacking someone and so they shot as well. Heck, if everyone has a Concealed Weapons Permit, pretty soon Fashion Island is just like the OK Corral...

This was likely "Staged", so they can take your guns... This guy is likely connected to someone with other motives. The Video is very convenient... This was likely law enforcement under false flag. They are drafting new legislation as we speak to come after the 2nd Amendment .. So for those who still believe is the US Democracy...Constitution, Bill of Rights, etc.,, lol

For anyone watching who might find themselves in this situation, please note: auto glass and car doors are not cover from bullets. Get low and move as fast as possible away from the sound of shots. Please don't get injured or kill because of curiosity or because you confused concealment for cover.

The 2nd amendment was a deal that was made to allow the federal government to have a standing army even during peace times. Even the US v Heller case made it clear that the right is an individual right and does not mean you have to be in the military or even a militia. The swiss are irrelevant to the argument.

3 strikes and your out. Every shot fired was a violent felony with firearm enhanced penalties. Watch carefully and you'll see this guy go to prison for no more than a year. Face it, there's no enforcement and that's really sad.
