Well, there you have it! John and Roxanne both tied at $10,000 apiece, so that means thanks to the beautiful Ms. Landers' brilliant clue-giving in both endgames, they both get to come back!! WOOT!! Thanks for watching, my friends; and be sure and stay tuned to my channel for more game show gold! 'Til next time, game headz, PEACE.... ;-)

  • So wait...didn't Roxanne win the 21-21 tie in the first round? Shouldn't she have some bonus from that as well?

  • @PhillyV2006 Actually, no... They didn't start the tie-breaker bonus until early 1984... When the game first implemented the bonus, a contestant could win a new car for breaking a 21-21 tie. Later in '84, this was changed to a $5,000 cash bonus... :-)

  • Josh, this was the Monday episode, right?

  • Actually, this may be Tuesday. I remember recording this off of GSN back in 2000. :-)

  • excellent episode! Would love to see more from this season, though i know GSN aired only two weeks of the 1983-84 season which sucks!

Love how the pyramid goes completely dark at the end with a small spot on the winners circle!

  • I know, right? I loved when the big Pyramid goes dark at the end! It looked SO sick... and yeah, GSN need to step it up and show more episodes of the 1983-84 season. Not that I'm not already satisfied with the 1985-86 season they are now showing, but still... C'MON...

  • anyone know where I can find the episodes for High school teen week in 1984? Please email if you have any info! Thanks!

  • @gameshowluvr86 oh ok. That explains why I never saw an episode with a new car as the tie-break prize.

  • There was no teen week in January 1985. Some of you people must be confusing it with blind contestants week.

  • Speaking of the High School Teen week from the 4/16-4/20/84 week Zach, it was indeed the final week for the white goose-necked microphones. I believe those microphones debuted on the week of December 6-10, 1982 or it could be as early as November 29-December 3, 1982 but yeah Jack Clark announced both those weeks IIRC.

  • kinda almost similar to how the original CBS $10K Pyramid did on most of their closing credits.

  • Well, thanks anyway for uploading this. Just too bad that 4 or 5 episodes later after GSN showed this one, they rewound the clock all the way back to episode 1.

There are plenty of reasons why the 1983-1984 season is the most highly sought-after year of the show. Bill Cullen made his first appearance on the Los Angelels version, and plus the show even once did a week with teen contestants playing the game.

  • I don't think so vnisanian, I bet this was either a Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday episode of the week IIRC.
