  • A lovely rendering of this quite sophisticated work. The music of this era generally displays a communicative dynamic from we can learn much of value.

  • You said it right. The music of that era is almost incomprehensible for us 21st centurians. The complextity of rhythm and meter, and above all, the use of multi texts makes me often wonder if these guys had better ears than we dp. How did they hear the intervals? What did they consider a dissonant and consonant based on their mode of tuning? How did they listen and more important, how did they sing it? We shall never know. One of these baffling mysteries.

  • I love the two voice counterpunctual motet. Really romantic, if that's even the right word to use. Lots of interesting harmonics .
