I think the fact that her results haven't been perfect with the gastric bypass (due to her OWN personal issues, not because the surgery didn't work... it DID), makes her a great role model for the surgery. It shows people, "This Is Not A Cure-All." Carnie had to have the surgery because her life was in jeopardy, but it didn't make those deep-seated issues go away, as we can see. She still struggles w/the weight, and had a drinking problem for a while. But she's great best of luck to her.

The greatest thing about Carnie is her total honesty. A by product of her upbringing I would guess. Having had the honour of meeting and talking with her during the walks to raise funds for her late uncle Carl's cancer foundation she is a beautiful person no matter what the outside looks like.

Apparently weight loss causes blondeness. That kind of undermines the message "do it for your health". But whatever works, I suppose.
