So am I to understand that the message of this song is that God was incapable of saving "the children gunned down in the hall" because the school does not allow prayer? That's a rather weak and pitiful God, no?

@MrStelam So am I to understand that a songwriter has to be a literalist to make a point? Is God really restricted by the rejection of Him in the schools? Probably not. Are students doing things to themselves and each other that they wouldn't do if they were being taught to put into practice the Ten Commandments? Probably so.

Do you not see that is what is happening in our schools , homes and nation? Jared Lee Loughner is just one more sad example of what Godlessness brings. There will be more and more and more.... Ultimately God wins though and will judge all people for what they

Keep in mind that the seperation of church and state is ALL churches, it is not an anti-Christian bias. You can't just mainstream teach one religion in school in such a diverse, multi-cultural country. It is our duty as parents to teach our children in our homes about our religion and then letting them make their own free choices what to do with this information, not enforce it on everyone.
