That is seriously one of the best moments on television. Love the high-five afterwards.

@rishabhpb Brit Marling is Britta's "lesbian" friend. The librarian is Maite Schwartz.

The librarian is Brit Marling, from the movie Another Earth. She looks amazing in it! (good movie too)

great scene. quick question tho... wtf is library school?
ThemCrazyKids 4 months ago 10
@ThemCrazyKids We call the program "library school" colloquially. Technically, it can be a Library Technician degree received from a college or a Master of Library (and Information) Science obtained at a university.

a library school student, so they pretty much teach you how to burn books?
furfeyl 4 months ago
@furfeyl Wow. Okay. Offensive much? It's a little unclear, though. Are you implying that books are unnecessary and libraries are going extinct? Or are you implying that the faceless bureaucrats behind libraries are imposing excessive censorship on the public?

@IrishTwilight merely commenting on the sad fact that most libraries, especially in America, destroy their books and sell it as paper pulp because they cant keep up nor afford to expand with all the new publications and conversion of libraries to more of a public area (ex.starbucks popping up in all of them) while still keeping all their old books, so they make a program to see which books are checked out the least and remove them from the shelves and those are then destroyed, sad fact

@furfeyl Okay. I see. You were just a little overly accusatory towards me and my school specifically. I'm not in the US. And We did not talk about destroying books in libraries like that. However, we did spend a lot of time discussing the issue of libraries having fewer patrons and receiving less support from the government and from society.
