Can you explain why an american public option would be a disaster? Why do you feel Americans are the only people in the modern world unable to achieve universal coverage? I find it amazing that the people who landed on the moon 50 years ago can't manage what the rest of us take for granted now. How the mighty have fallen.

I guess the answer then is to take away medical coverage for all elected officials and get them to get their own... maybe after one official goes bankrupt (or their parents or kids) the Congress and Senate will be willing to talk sense.

Democrats accuse Republicans about not caring about the poor, the black & hispanic communities but the facts are that Democrats treat these groups as disabled victims who need to be permanently attached to government life support. Republicans believe in helping these true Americans by promoting low taxes to promote home ownership, small business creation, financial knowledge, savings & stables families. The government solutions of the progressives do not work.
