In open E: EBEG#BE.

A nice one for beginners, as all the chords are identical. A little painful sliding all over the fretboard, though.

  • so r u just fretting the two strings and not all six right?

  • @stonz82 I'm fretting the EADG strings with the BE open (except for those chords going into the middle 8 part).

  • I prob overestimate people on here but I just clicked on you to see if I could pick up anything as I adore the riffs in this. I wasn't exasperated, I just find it frustrating when I hear a wrong note or chord - I don't know about the G sharp bass note, there might well be one , but you're playing a G, aren't you? As for the minor chords, what you play also doesn't sound right. It's funny that others haven't picked up on this, or maybe they keep stumm. Otherwise, you did a relatively good job

  • @simonbarget The great thing about having my own YouTube channel is I get to play things the way I want -- and you can do the same on your channel. Even so, after 4,565 views, you're the first person who thinks this is wrong. It may well be wrong. But this is how I play it.

  • The third chord in the verse should be open e not g (cant you hear this is wrong??) and the minor chords aren't quite right, to play the minor you need to hold down, say you're barring the third fret,; don't bar the g sharp i.e. the third string from the bottom, or it will be major but put your finger on the second fret to play a g natural , then you get the minor sound.

  • @simonbarget Hmm. You seem exasperated. Anyway, I just listened to the album version again, and there's definitely a G# bass note on that third chord. So no, I can't hear that it's wrong. Also, barring the G at the third fret wouldn't be a G#, it would be an A#. So where does that leave us? Regardless, please post a video of your version and we'll just let the YouTube universe compare for themselves.

  • @simonbarget

This guy did a perfectly fine job on this Keith

classic. He isn't Keith, nobody is, not even Keith sometimes! And it's damn sure you aren't either, so why not just shut up and enjoy? Nobody and I mean NOBODY gives one tin rip what you think. Except you of course, so do us, and yourself a favor; try just a little harder not to be such a jackass ok?

  • i cant hear you

  • there is a G#. it's so obvious.

  • Can you tell me what strings you're covering on the first chord you do??
