@soulcornflake1 I completely agree, they certainly do have a mutual respect for one another's art. However, it's not easy to ignore the intense love she feels for him, and who wouldn't, he's Freddy Mercury. I think it would be an amazing experience and quite easy to fall in love with him if one were to spend a year in his presence.

@Furkin44 I don't think it was that kind of affection or love she had for him. Ms. Caballe had been around the artistic world a number of years, I'm sure she knew her share of gay people. I think the love she shared with him was the love that two musicians can have with each other. It's a love between souls and the understanding of having someone with a like spirit who understands you. In a way it's the purest form of love.

She was COMPLETELY in love with him, and although I think he liked her very much, the sentiment was not returned.

Whether it's rock or opera, or any form of genre for that matter, Freddie can still give one goosebumps and put that thunderbolt of electricity in you. His performance with Montserrat Caballe does just that. To be able to be on the same stage with a World Renowned Opera Singer and sing right with her shows just how far his range and capabilities were as an artist. Truly Freddie was one of the greatest singers the World has ever known.

Un instinto me guiava :) I think they got crush for each other. Love when comes the harmonic voices... That's Queen spirit. I get goosebumps too.

@vantecc What did Freddie do that was so bad? I can only presume you're saying that being gay is bad. A lot of people love him, because unlike you, they (and I) do not believe the fact he was sexually attracted to other men made him a bad person. You believe what he did was "bad", unfortunately for you, millions of others disagree with you. Which is why he is loved so much still. He made mistakes and bad decisions in his life, yes. None of them include being gay, which you can't help anyway.
