Owl City - Fireflies (Olivander remix)

This is a cover/remix of Fireflies by Owl City. I grabbed most of the instrumentals from www.karaoke-version.com but the drums are entirely programmed by me. I did this as a bonus track for my alias Olivander, of which I'm working on an album for.

Antares Auto-Tune - vocals

Yes I did you all a favor and used Auto-Tune because my vocal range is a lot lower than Adam Young. Please keep the AT hating comments to yourself. I try to use it in as few recordings as possible, but because Adam Young has such a higher vocal range than I do, even the slightly pitch-corrected version sounded like junk. So I said screw it and just T-Pained the hell out of it.

Other than that constructive criticism and other comments are welcome... I know thats asking a lot with Youtube users.

if you listen to IDM then you'll agree thers many differnt layers they use to create a song or tune..... so was kinda dissapointed you missed the hormonising voice on the last chorus, i think it adds soooo much more depth n nicely ends the song with a variation otherwise it sounds like a copy of the first chorus, but otherwise a very good example of your computer skills. :D

I agree the harmony wasn't perfect, I realized it the first time I listened to it on Youtube, but I don't see how missing one note on one part of a harmony justifies it as missing an entire layer. As I explained all of the instruments came from a Karaoke website and I only did the vocals and the drums on this.

You should use Celemony's tools for the vocals. That would give you the control necessary for improving the pitch correction.
