about how much did it cost to get the cam and installed(labor)?

@2highrollin it was 400 for cam,,,i installed it myself labor ranges from 300-500 in some places

was that cam ment for a 5.7 ls1 or what becasue if it is that is the best sound i heard out of a silverado REALLY!!!!! also that is a pretty big cam for a 4.8. nice job dude love that truck!!!!!

@mario121793 actually its meant for any ls based engine 4.8/5.3/6.0 etc....it was a little too big for my 4.8,but sound turned heads

@chevrolade1 that I do know because all of these engines r pretty much the same thing but diffence in size power torque.. well u know wut i mean but damn i like that u actually thought and put a cam that was intended to roll in a 5.7 LS1 in a 4.8 Vortec!!!!! just pretty outrageous!! Hey i think i saw that you took everything off and sold the truck i think i am wrong, but if you can get a 5.3, or 6.0and get a LS7cam !!!! with a magnacharger!!!! that will be a nice dream huh?

@mario121793 yup the 4.8 lacks torque,,have u seen my other vids?i still have the same truck just repainted and did a caddy conversion,in two weeks it will have a cammed 6.0 with l92 heads:)...ill get some vid up very soon when i do that setup

this economy sucks! i hate the fact that ford,chevy, and dodge all stopped making performance trucks! the silverado and Trailblazer ss had good sales and so did the Lightning! and i know more viper trucks were sold than actual vipers.....i would rather have a viper truck than a viper...they need to bring back the msucle truck! i like how you created your own SS from the new body style

Exactly. I can't believe how many SS models are made today that can't really compete with their stock models. I would like to get this cam for my 08 Silverado Vortec Max. This truck is what an SS should be all about.

I want to see an Impala SS 6.0, 4 speed, RWD.

Matt is not a silverado ss, thats a style cam and tech the block is a ls1, ls based block... He has a ly6 now I believe or lq9 cammed

@billybulge a lot of people would. muscle trucks are badass. i can get 5 of my friends in a quadcab SRT10 ram. i can haul a boat and all my other toys. i can throw stuff in the bed, and still take it offroad if i really needed too. i cant do any of that in a viper.
