  • Is it true that if you use finer airbubbles it will create more lift?

  • @Jeroenz0r yes its true, drill as small holes as you can handle, the holes i drilled are 1mm

if you can drill holes like 0,5mm its even better, but i broke 3drills 0,5mm on 5 holes, so i stopped and take the 1mm drill

even the dept of the compression chamber is important according the pressure your pomp delivers

  • very simple,

on the lower side made compression chamber, dril a lot of small holes inside the chamer, and put a lot of air in the chamber, you press it al out trought the holes, in the tube

  • However as the mixture travels upward, agglomeration of air bubbles occur, and you lose that scale effect that keeps it all rising together. If the tube is small enough (and you can use multiple to achieve a certain flow rate), then you will always have sufficient surface tension to prevent water from recirculating downward. What do you think?

  • I believe what is preventing the water from recirculating vertically, is the surface tension between small air bubbles and the water media around. The smaller the air bubbles, the more surface tension and the longer it will take before air bubbles agglomerate together.

  • Hoe maak ik zo'n airlift Wat heb ik daar voor nodig

  • Excellent demonstration of the airlift process and you did a great job showing 2 phase flow. The clear section of pipe is a great idea.

(I made the pulser pump which is airlift powered by tromp.)
