A great video of an American Airlines MD-80 departure in a snow storm. Note, the aircraft was deiced with a special deicing fluid, a thick fluid, designed to sheer off, at 100mph to 120mph. Protects wings and control surfaces from ice. That makes flying safe in snow storms.

Beautiful video. I love taking off from O'Hare. I agree tho that someone flying for the first time might just change their mind if they saw this video first...lol.

Nice video. Made my palms sweat a bit :) I had to follow the tail end of a blizzard into Chicago in 2000 that had me wigging out a bit. It wasn't snowy but the winds were nasty. Cool video though, thanks!
