I don't think BUFFY is the greatest show in TV history, but the central relationship between Buffy and Angel is so genuine and deep in a way SO many other mediums have tried and failed to capture (I'm looking at you, TWILIGHT!!). The entirety of season 3 damn near broke my heart.
