26" 1.75" 60 psi tire deflates, park tension gauge shows spoke tension dropping from over 24 to under 24. Spoke tension should have risen, but the rim-vee contraction overwhelms the relaxtion of tire constriction. Audio plays air hiss.

  • Calvin from Park Tool notes this in his blog. But he also points out that on certain carbon rims the tension drop is much less.

    With deep rims, and HP tyres (8 bars and more) It could fall down to 5-7...
