its a shame i nearly bought one of these last year but now its easier to get a android tablet which is stronger.

that was a good demo. If installing a different linux distro from a thumb drive would get everything running, I'd buy one.

I already have this device aand playing DivX on Ubuntu with new firmware from Chronolytics - everything ok, but you have to flash it on your own ;)

The stock OS is an altered Ubuntu. The regular Ubuntu as well as Meamo are supported and much more capable then what it comes with.

this looks very bad :D maybe there is some other software on this linux, that can play videos smoother..

maybe it is, but the OS looks kinda smooth, at least even if it can't play, it would still not freeze the whole system...
