why is it good for for socializing? so that they can be bullied, categorized and discouraged? tell me what good comes from school as far as socializing that you cant get from going to the park regularly?

I'm in year 11 and I really don't like school. I'm being bullied, the curriculum is awful and the presure from the deadlines is really getting to me.

I was worried though, since I am already far past half way on my GCSE course, would I still be able to pull out of public school?

I personally feel the comments made by the young people were worrying. Why does the girl at the end of the video feel that home educated children are far more likely to bother looking for work? Where did she get that from..?

I'd rather just teach myself, and really, compulsory education is still unconstitutional

Marvellous. Tells everyone what they need to know. Marvellous picture. I wish my fuzzy videos were like this! All our children have been HE'd. Thank goodness for my wife - it was her idea. With the state of schools today, how could anyone do anything else?

Homeschooling is legal in all 50 US states. :) Requirements do vary by state, but it is legal everywhere in the US.
