Hope Machine's Year-End Hootenanny at The Beacon Theater in Beacon, New York
http://thebeacontheatre.org

Fred Gillen Jr. - guitar, vocals
Steve Kirkman - guitar, vocals
Eric Puente - drums
Bill Gordon - bass
Special guests included Julie Corbalis, Scott Urgola and David Bernz and his son Jacob.

The band came together in 2003 while playing at a Woody Guthrie hootenanny.

Gillen describes their music as "folk-rock Americana with an emphasis on peace and social justice." But the music is not overly political or "teachy preachy," he said.

Gillen and Kirkman write all their own songs, both together and separately. Gillen sings and plays guitar along with Kirkman, and Puente plays drums.

"We are excited to bring the show to Beacon. The theater is a cool venue. We're psyched to be a part of the first season," Gillen said.
