Thanks for the comments, Dave. I always keep them in mind when I'm filming events now. This was filmed 2 months ago, and I have since purchased a little tripod for my flipcam which allows me to hold it much steadier.
there are occasions where its okay to film while walking. but usually you want to stand still..shoot...move. stand, shoot, move. stand, shoot, move.
you hold the cam really shaky. figure out a way to hold it steadier. use two hands maybe, brace it against your cheek mabye... you're holding hundreds of dizzy people in that cam, don't earthquake them.
But of course you're getting the most important thing right... you're continuing to shoot events.
