@thatkidsmokin believe me I know, broke axles and ring and pinion in that 44. This was the first truck I ever built and it started as a 2wd and I already had the early bronco running gear so I put it all together. I have since parted the truck out and now run a 4 door sidekick with toyota axles which works WAY better.

@ravudi24 they are not shackle hangers, they are radius arm brackets, it was a coil spring front end out of an early bronco

just curious why a 4.3 over a small block?

@BLACKLACDTS just personal choice, with the gearing it had plenty of power and didnt use near as much fuel as a small block so I didnt have to carry extra gas cans on the trail. Now I run a suzuki sidekick with a 1.6 litre engine on 39's, dual cases give me enough power to turn them and I can go for a 12-14 hour snow run on 3/4 tank of gas.
