The fighting applications of Yang style tai chi. This program not only reveals the street techniques of tai chi, it also shows you how to hit, kick, knee, elbow and throw with true internal energy. Plus it shows you exactly how to modify moves for practical fighting, as well as how to follow through by taking the fight to the other guy.

  • ok then before you judge how about you fight someone that practices this style properly (not like the guy in the video), you will find when Tai Chi is done properly it is more about breath and stances. with the use of Tai Chi you can easily knock a man twice your size to the floor without any movement off your feet.

  • The problem is that all these guys know the movements from the form, but they seemingly don't understand the inner principles. Tai Chi combat doesn't work with the "when he.... then I..." pattern. You never know what gets into your mind because it's empty and open. You rather feel what you will do.

  • @pkaryd7 Anyone can knock a man twice their size over. My kid can push me over - anyone can do it if someone stands with their feet together, it's just physics that it takes very little force to push someone back from that position.

  • Too many good martial artist ( of the Chinese styles ) tend to over emphasize either on the harder physical aspects or the mental and softer aspects.

    Combatant Styles are limited.

Even Tai Chi Quan - not many masters know how to utilize the proper skills and it is mostly done by older folks for health purposes.

Tai Chi Quan started off as a combatant and practical art but soon - evolved along historical lines into an exercise which is similar to karate these days.

  • or any part of you body

  • lame

  • combat tai chi ? about as effective as a chainsaw without the chain. or a chick with tits on the soles of her feet.

  • this sucks. I don't want to apply any more logic:D
