Despite a really productive Memorial Day weekend, I didn't quite get the Neurotikart 2 on the road. This is just a quick slideshow of where it stands right now.

  • where do you get those big DC motors?? they are hard to find on the internet and expensive as hell

  • @swss12 Well, they're not *that* hard to find, but yes, they are expensive. But if you think that's bad, check out the batteries. I spent twice as much for batteries than I did for the motor. Put another way, the cost of the batteries is equal to the cost of the motor *plus* the cost of the controller.

  • Hahaha, yep-very expensive.......as far as leakage-it would be a gas. Don't let anyone fool ya, that gas is TOXIC-Knocks holes in each and every cell it contacts. Weather by skin contact, or vapors. And it really has a pleasant smell :) Very lite (protect with fiberglass) Don't short out,,,,,cause the meltdown is intense. Gell's are VERY GOOD, only heavy.

  • Heavy indeed. This kart sports about 300 lbs in batteries alone. Yeesh.

  • Ahhh, very nice!! I see you chose GELL cells :) Would be alot more nasty in a crash with regular acid batteries. Try lithium battries (so much smaller) and so VERY expensive-but last much longer :)

  • Lithium batteries are a lot more dangerous if the contents are spilled, actually. But the real thing that keeps them out of reach is the cost - about 15x more.

  • @XRayCam where you can get those, they are expensive but yeah last forever

  • is it that easy to break regular lead acid batteries? Or are gells really necessary?

  • Google American Power Sports for cart supplies. Also of some interest to you , wires, there are spacers for the Azusa wheels to widen them out for wider tires, those things you use are awefully narrow for the weight they carry.

  • where do you buy the motor

  • Haha,in secret I have been looking for an Electric Cart Motor :) That acceleration looks AWSUME.........!!! And BURN-OUT'S till the Wheels-Burn-Off. Muahaahahaha "giggle"
