My second experiment in posting my writing to YouTube.

Definition of Waste

My
build computers out of junk
download all the newest episodes
while criticizing their use of physics
create a fictional world complete with
physics, language, mechanics, history
details that would make Asimov and Tolkien jealous
time travel as common as road trips
never tripping over the logic
will explain it all to you when your brain stops hemorrhaging
memorize blocks of Hindi poetry
in conversations of hours of nothing
quantum mechanics spills in without
a thought, scholarship judges drool
why did you memorize all the countries of the world
and Shakespeares comedies backwards
worried about share ratio
but not clean laundry
sociolinguistic psychology aap vs. tum
discuss while comparing Russian politics and Swedish chatrooms
create a subtitling program just to watch a movie
computer science poetic analysis dreams
no job live in my parents garage
brother

Phone Calls
I cant remember the last time that I said my name
while on the phone with my brother
When he answers I usually just say hi, what you doing
never my name. I always assume he knows who I am
he does usually.
Not like the people that work with me and think they know me
he isnt surprised when I quote a random movie or song
or just say mork for no reason.
Who else but your brother could answer the question
why do I have a headache? Why did you make me have a headache?
with
because we were out of mash potatoes.
he gets me somehow.
Which is weird.

Line Conversation

Sometimes it seems like every other thing my brother says
is a line from a movie, book, video game, comic book or radio show
Some people would call this a lack of originality
Depending on others for his words
But it takes a lot of creativity to combine Portals deceptive cake
With Jane Austens diatribe on single men
And Jonathan Coultons song about Zombies and
Make it applicable to your sisters study notes
On Cirrhosis of the liver.

  • Poems have a format. This isnt a poem. Good effort.

  • @darkstars101 You're right. They're actually three poems. They each have a different format, albeit loose ones. I admit that the formats are hard to see when you are just listening to them. I really should post the transcripts with these. Thanks for your comment.

  • funny, not funny haha just funny hoe after listening you manage to make me keep thinking about what it is you just said,................. well done!
