The way I perform my straight leg deadlifts is like this. Yes, I am completely aware that my legs aren't locked entirely straight - that is on purpose. I have a slight bend in the knees similar to what a RDL is only I don't sit back as far and I don't stop just below the knees...I go straight down and all the way to the floor. That's why I label this as a hybrid. Either way, this completely fries my glutes and high hamstrings, so however it may look, it certainly works for me! I admit the quality is a little bad, but that's because it was taken with my phone at the time. Enjoy!

  • Great stuff bro I've been watching some of your vids and I am insanely impressed, you're a great motivator.

I noticed in a response to another guy's question that you tore your hamstring. What was recovery like for that? I don't go very heavy as far as squats or leg presses go because I blew out my knee playing football so I was curious as to what your recovery was like and if there was any surgery involved.

    thanks!

  • @samsungpropel1 A slow and steady progress...I can still feel it tweak a little on heavy stuff so I constantly have to stretch and baby it. Sucks.

  • @crysisgoty - That would be something to discuss with Layne if youa re working with him. My clients don't all get put on the same program, it is tailored to them specifically for their goals.

  • @Sporto4323 could you name some?? please :)

  • this is how I do my RDLs and I agree it feels fantastic! Right now I'm only getting about 350 for 6 reps or so at 6'3" 205lbs. I hope to be as strong as you one day! What is your height/weight?

  • nice form

  • @Sporto4323 lol......yea :(

  • @cbass5511 - Sucks, doesn't it?

  • @Sporto4323 I do the same thing for the exact same injury from football in high school.

  • @tradguitarplaya I haven't trained on that program in over 2 years - I believe there are far better training programs
