  • Hi, I come from Leek and have always lived here and I would not move anywhere else I love it, I know many people moan about the place but I think its a great place to live.

Your photo shows were lovely to watch, wouldn't it be lovely if we could back to those times for one day to experiance it first hand!

    Well done

By the way are you an original leekensian too?

  • Thanks.

    Yes i am.

  • I love the videos! both number 1 and 2

I am hoping to go into leek library to look at local studies to fulfill my Leekbrook blog

where did you get the photos?

  • Many thanks for your comments.

I have collected the pics over many years of searching.

  • My son will be doing a history of Leek at school soon, I was wondering where best there was to search for such old photos? I know the local library has a local studies section and the internet has photos of leek and leekbrook, but i cant find anything else bar a small bit on wikapaedia

  • Best bet is contact the local media.

  • Im from leek, and have loads of books on my home town. Not seen that shot of the bottom of bell vue before!...

  • I love these pics xx

  • I live in Leek and I will never move.

  • HI!...From Canada!...Vancouver, British Columbia to be exact. I have visited and enjoyed Leek when I was there.

  • I live in Notts now but used to live in The White Lion, Leek and loved it!

  • That is so haunting, and heart wrenching. Its a shame leek is what it is at the moment, maybe it will calm down in a bit. If only they hadn't built the smithfield center, and put some beautiful stone buildings in place. But the thing with leek is that there is a beautiful part even now that people don't look at. Its the top of the building down derby street. they are still the same as they were 100 years ago. god bless you all in Leek and them who have moved else where. :o)

  • We loved in Leek for eleven years. It is a nice little town - lovely people.
