Just look closely at the shape of everyone alighting from the trains - we were a slim generation then. It really shows what cheap junk food has done :(

i was the last person to give a 309 the right of way at clacton station 22nd jan 1994. i hope they restore one or two soon, perhaps they could work the walton branch

Sorry, Rivas, but I can't agree with Bellgrove. At the back, there is a ramp to the road (Bellgrove has stairs), I think Bellgrove also has a narrower platform and had a dirfferent style of building before it burnt down. The buildings in the background are bungalows (Bellgrove has industrial buildings). I think this is Muirend, looking towards Williamwood and Neilston.

I remember the class 310s being in service on the west coast main line up until about 1988
The Class 309 or AM9 as they where known when introduced where the only EMU to wear the BR Maroon. They where one of the best EMUs around.
