I was an FE in the 710th MAS at Travis from 79-81. Started out life as a C-5 crew chief. I really miss the 141. Had some great times going to places like Angeles City PI, Christ Church NZ, etc. Ah the good old days. Went back on Active duty and eventually flew as FE on E3A, KC-10 and E-4B.

FE out of McChord from '85 until its departure in 2002, both active and reserve. Sure miss the Sweptwing Shadow of Death. Moved onto flying the Mighty Herk now out of AK, but it ain't quite the same...

I was FE '80 to '88. I had inflight accident '87 during hvy. airdrop. she still on display at KCHS. Sgt.Mitchell lives near me.. FE rules. Treebyter you did good ,keeping this bird in our memory. Adios Al 20thMAS/FE. USAF/Ret '88

This is Smitty from the Red AMU jets...I was second wipe on 66-0197 sometime in the mid '90...say '93-95. I left for MQTP in June 1995. TSgt Holden I thought was the lead crew chief along with myself, SrA Erickson, and SrA Mosley. (I think...it's been awhile).

Well I'll Be... Let's get this straight. I returned to MAFB in '93. Wanted 60184. no can do... so I ask 4 my first acft! 60197! CAN DO!!! She was my bird back in 1981-83 and 1993- 1996 . went to Cmd Post in '96.
