Parrot Speaks 8 Languages

"Hello" - English
"Ni hao" - Mandarin Chinese
"Jambo" - Swahili
"Ciao" - Italian
"Bonjour" - French
"¿Qué pasa?" - Spanish
"Konichiwa" - Japanese
"Aloha" - Hawaiian

Please note: Ciao, which can mean hello or goodbye, was selected for Italian to avoid confusion between bongiorno and bonjour. ¿Qué pasa? means "What's up?" and was chosen to avoid confusion between aloha and hola. Jambo is used mostly by and for tourists.

Someone tell that parrot that "que pasa" is NOT hi in Spanish, otherwise great job!

We were aware that "¿Qué pasa?" doesn't mean "hello" when we taught it to Bibi. We used it because we were concerned about confusion between "hola" and "aloha." We also used "Ciao" rather than "buongiorno" to avoid confusion with "bonjour."
