Much of Woody Guthrie's music remains as relevant today as it did when he was alive. Even if the bulk of his work was written during the Great Depression and WWII.

Just so you know, I'm a late Gen-X'er in my mid 30s, and I credit Billy Bragg and Wilco and Son Volt for introducing me to this fine songwriter.
